Very excited for the year ahead. After taking on NYC this March we’ll be going to Philadelphia in May and then on to Basel, Switzerland in June. Plans are already in place for this coming December in Miami as well. Some very promising projects in the works for this fall too… we’ll be sure to keep everyone posted.
Hi-Fructose recently visited the studio of Philadelphia based artist Jeremy Hush as he finishes up his new works for ‘At A Loss For Words’ opening on September 29th in the project room at Thinkspace.
“Working in ball-point pen and an autumnal color palette, the new works explore themes of decay and rebirth, as his strange beauties double as vessels as birds and other wildlife find homes between their rib and jaw bones. Tangles of overgrown natural elements converge with rusted skeleton keys and clockwork parts, an interesting marriage between nature and machinery that provides a nuanced back drop for his ghostly figures.” – Hi-Fructose
Juxtapoz recently caught up with Bay Area artist Brett Amory as he laid the final touches to his new oil paintings for ‘Dirty Laundry’ set to open this Sat, August 4th at Thinkspace in the Culver City Arts District.
A quote that has stuck with you? “Talent, don’t bother about wether or not you have it. Just assume that you do, and forget about it. Talent is a word we use after someone has become accomplished.” -Richard Schmid

Favorite medium to work with? Oil, I cannot stand the feel of acrylics. I know its toxic as fuck, but I am willing to die a little earlier if I get to paint with smooth, buttery, delicious oil paint.
Our friend Birdman recently posted a great video documenting Dabs Myla‘s recent mini-solo show over at Known Gallery – home of the Seventh Letter. Shot by Birdman on a GoPro HD Hero2. Music by Ian Rees.
